Welcome to OCA Parts

I am going to list out the steps and machines that you need in order to refurbish your iPhone cracked screens.

All the Tools You Need to Succeed

STEP 1: CUT 4 CORNERS OF FRAME

Total Equipment Purchased: $14

Hot Blade Frame Cutter

The first step required in the iPhone LCD refurbishing process is to cut the plastic bezel on all 4 corners using a heated razor blade to melt through the plastic. This will allow the sides of the frames to be easily pulled off in the next step of the process.
Tip: When using the hot plate make sure you don't nick the LCD or backlight. You will feel it when it clicks as it goes through the plastic until it hits glass. Be-careful that the LCD frame cutter doesn't touch the LCD cables or the home button cables on the iPhone 6s model and newer.

STEP 2: REMOVE FRAME FROM GLASS

Total Equipment Purchased: $139.00

Hot Plate Frame Remover Machine

The 2 in 1 LCD refurbishing machine is a great cost and space saver. You will be using it in steps 2 & 3. In this step you will be using the hot plate to heat up the glue so that side frames will easily come off the glass. Your hot plate should be set at 70 degrees Celsius.

Equipment Required:
2 in 1 Touch Screen Frame Separator/Glue Remover

AVERAGE COST $125.00

STEP 3: SEPARATE GLASS FROM LCD

Total Equipment Purchased: $151.94

Screen Separator Machine

In this step you will be using the same machine you purchased in step 2. Here you will see that we place a small piece of tape packing tape over the cracked LCD so it allows for better suction on the hot plate. Make sure to set the LCD separator machine to 70c and allow to get to full temperature before starting the separation process. The next step is to use a small razor blade or Knife to remove the left over glue from where we pulled the frame off in step 2. You will remove just the glue on the bottom 1 inch of the screen on the side where the frame used to be. Next you will use your cutting wire to start cutting off the LCD starting at the bottom and working your way up to the top as seen in the video.

Equipment Required:
1.) 2 in 1 Glass/Frame Separator
2.) Razor Blades $6.99
3.) LCD Cutting wire $5.95

AVERAGE COST:  $12.94

STEP 4: REMOVE POLARIZER FROM LCD

Total Equipment Purchased: $356.94

Polarizer Remover Machine

In this step you will be using the built in hot blade set to a tempature of 180c-200c. Once the blade is fully heated you will start with one edge of the LCD removing the polarizer and work your way across the LCD until the polarizer is separated enough to be pulled back so you can remove the remainder of the polarizer as seen in video.

Equipment Required:
1.) Polarizer/OCA Glue Remover Machine

AVERAGE COST:  $205.00
